Cartoline, biglietti, foto, fiori: hanno costruito quello che chiamano ormai il muro della prayer that in reality 'is a big, frightening monument to infinite hope, unfortunately, often the illusion of finding their loved ones still alive. Many Italian names on the wall of tears: Rossetti, D'Antonio, Di Leo, Caggiano, Tipaldi, The Martyrs, who seeks his cousin Ulysses Micciulli Deanna Galante. Hundreds of Italian names. But it is not 'simple search, I' see in a city where the Italian home catered 'at least half a million. Scarpetta's mother Michelle, 26, asks for help: "She was at 95 floor, someone saw her?" Who has seen another girl, Giovanna Gambale said Gennie? "She was more 'up to the plane nmero 105. Hope. Of torches and tears even dancing, a poignant force against all the violence .... But most songs: desperate, calling for peace. We pray for those who are no 'more' but especially for those who remain. For the future of the world.
No one goes to sleep. The smoke, dense, distressing, perhaps poisoned, rising from the gutted skyscrapers 'sense of a tragedy that unfortunately still not' over. I'm going to see the crater of the apocalypse, that piece of New York who will miss' forever. We continue to dig through the rubble, without a moment's rest. Mayor Giuliani asked to hurry up, 'cause life could not' start if first you do not cancel at least the ruins. The rescue teams are already after only three days' down below street level to the subway line. The work 'difficult and tiring. There are something like 450 thousand tons of rubble piled up the 'where up to Tuesday' were the twin towers. Firefighters are exhausted, but go ahead. Even the community 'and Italian' in mourning. Malberry street, one of the most 'visited the Big Apple, and now' deserted. These days you had to celebrate, as every year, San Gennaro. But it 's been postponed. Certainly not 'the time to celebrate.
It 's been a week. There was the sun also Tuesday 'last year. It seemed the beginning of a beautiful day and yet suddenly and 'all hell broke loose, the dark, at 8.45 am. I go to Brooklyn. Tell me where were the twin towers, you 'were there', just where there is now 'the void. At the fantastic landscape forever miss the skyscrapers 'tall and maybe more' beautiful. There 's a lot of people to pray. And to tell, still dazed. "I was here, I saw everything, even the first plane. Terrible. But this great pain and 'managed to unite." "Since I was born here I come with the dog. I still do not believe it. Still I hope it was a movie." "Of course I since then I do not see a lot of people, friends. Maybe I'm dead but I still hope they come back. "" The towers are missing but I do not want them to be rebuilt. I want a mausoleum, not to forget. "Tears, anger, and ruins while the other side into the large crater in Manhattan continues to dig, with hands, inch by inch as he tells us a fireman. But it will take 'still very time to clear at least the signs of disaster.
Before leaving, a month later, in Italy for three days I decide to go to Boston, from where they started the two air cargo hatred of the terrorists who then crushed the twin towers. I was amazed at two things that might explain the apocalypse. First, and Logan Airport 'still a sieve. Second, I found traces of heavy Bin Laden everywhere. I have been living in the street where his mother (the road 'throughout his) and in the building where two brothers lived. To understand: the enemy of the United States have always had in the house without knowing it. Or they knew it. And it '- a year later - still the question most' disturbing.

THE APOCALYPSE, a year ago
Pictures almost impossible. Arrive suddenly that shocked everyone. Life since then, perhaps, not 'over' the same. For anyone. How 'changed the world? E 'was right to respond with war? And above all, and 'right to continue?

In the world survives the fear, the fear that death is hidden behind the face of anyone. (A bit comes from thinking in the face of Bin Laden) we all feel a little helpless, on the other hand we can do? Terrorism is a dark evil that lurks behind the facades above suspicion. The war? Perhaps it is not right or maybe you. It depends on your point of view. I hate pictures where more despair in the eyes of women, children but I hate the face of all those who march with placards on which is printed on the face of Osama Bin Laden. It 'hard to hit the target right unfortunately. But a little 'if you are looking for are ... and maybe they deserve the war to continue because they are looking for an equality that does not exist.
Manu

After 11 September, the world has changed, and lost an opportunity to change. That afternoon and the twin towers falling, the number of dead will be remembered longer than any other shocking episode in which we could see, but I do not think that will be done to change the world, indeed, perhaps the incident will to maintain or restore a balance that was likely to come down. The question in relation to those facts do not say anything, is what serves war? If we tried to respond before the memory of the shock, not induced, and that is that what happened on September 11 was planned, perhaps a simple answer, even if unpopular. America is indeed a great country, and its size has had to impose its interests to the rest of the world, because it consumes most of the world's resources, and this factor explains well why not negligible when the crisis presses are in a hurry to create an enemy to fight. With a war that would reaffirm the primacy of economic interest. Islam is the enemy, and it is such a trivial chance that oil is as much the property of the Islamic peoples. Osama Bin Laden, is a Minus Habens? It 's alive? E 'dead? Osama Bin Laden, whoever he is or was no longer Osama, has become an entire people dying every day, according to the U.S. to hand so insulted Islamic rule of the tooth for a tooth, I remember one called "Bush after harvest Prayer said that America is at war. " Was indicative. I'm just wondering to those who turned her prghiera. Maybe it was the same as Allah? On September 11 has lasted 365 days, and we do not even see the idea of the sunset, we can see the graves of Afghanistan starting to emerge, in the dead "by mistake", looking at Guantánamo, where nobody is allowed to go see, in this era where tutto, persino la guerra è un prodotto che si vende via TV, la proiezione dell'11 settembre sta nell'odio ignorante che impedisce di distinguere tra persone per bene e delinquenti, dove islam non è più una religione, ma una sorta di marchio di infamità, grazie anche a chi, non ha esitato a salire in corsa sul treno degli indignati, vestito da letterato, non a raccontare ma a ribadire quanto fosse spregevole essere islamico. Sì, il mondo è cambiato, la gaussiana già discendente è andata a picco, raggiungendo i minimi storici di civiltà, remain stable in the parallel line that brings death and business.
Rita Pani

reply to borrow the fine words of last Ottieri Get his wonderful book / off: "My vision is a society mild" ... but everything runs / contributes to happen to the incontrario. .. there is a limit (or not?) immorality of wealth? "

Since 11 September we are experiencing a new world of uncertainty, fear and desire for redemption. inculcated Ransom, in my opinion , by those who have some responsibility in the events that occurred last year, the United States of America. Is there a program which included, forced that something so striking and symbolic that happen and are the reason not to trigger a war (as we are led to believe), not a crusade against the civilized world (as some have said), but for the imposition of subtle and creeping a global police state, global. We are the antechamber of the New World Order, the imposition of a One World Government, a world army, based on an existing global economy. All this without the consent of the people, not by democratic election of leaders, but the crest of fear and anxiety generated by the pall of terror with the wanted events that occurred in Manhattan in such dramatic, cinematic, so striking as to can not not create doubts about the likely intent. "It 's been right to respond with war? "No, but somehow we have allowed the U.S. to do so. Or rather, we did not have the strength to stop this misguided (as planned) by the hammering of those images so spectacular in their horror as symbolic as, time and place. But as terrorists but as Taliban! They would be so stupid and naive the U.S. to finance the first Bin Laden and provide the means because they turn against then? In the September 11 attacks, maybe you're just lost control of the plane fell on the White House initially announced and then never confirmed. The flames were there. Cheney for some tempo dopo l'11-9 non si è visto in giro. Qualche dubbio DEVE esserci. “ E soprattutto: e' giusto continuarla? There will be a strengthening of the powers that the UN will be the prelude to slipping gentle and almost imperceptible to the creation (transformation) of a global UN army (with tasks not only peace-keeping). Not aware of it. But we will authorize that. We have the ability to change things. We have the ability to stop the process. It depends on us. Or we will, primarily, to pay the consequences.
Walter Radica

Certainly the 'future' September 11 shocked the world. It 'almost needless to say one thing but this should give pause, however. Before the many inconsistencies that have emerged on the preparation 's assassination and the following investigations. Then the fact that this event represented a turning point in history, both American and worldwide. Nobody asks why Bush continued, like his father before him, to ask for a war with Saddam? Which Saddam was already defeated in the previous war (1991 Desert Storm), but was spared a few days after the end of the war. Why? Because U.S. forces and (UN?) When they could take everything stopped for the 'Iraq and capture Saddam? They look like stupid questions but I do not believe, are legitimate questions to which nesssuno answers instead. Now, after his father's son wants them to redo the war on Saddam. We do, the 'family tree? There were too many wars are? Too many Afghanistan? Too many Bosnie? And the world's problems, those of urgency, do not count? Mr. Bush recited the hunt for Bin Laden, we had a head on it and capture Bin Laden to justice. Which is still a bird of forest and appears to be in business with the Bush family. It's about time that people think more for themselves than with the media and the proclamations of Mr. Bush. The 'attack' s Sept. 11 is certainly horrible, abominable, like everyone else for that matter, but the real culprits are in the 'shadow and other massacres, and there will be another curse and condemnation, in words. It 's a leitmotif already seen and already planned. The war does not solve anything, is only death, destruction, and in the interests of those who interest in the world should be always the case.
Claudio Guglieri

I had the "luck" to see things the war! Since 1996 I go to the former Yugoslavia, from Croatia in the first (refugee camps) and then gradually up to internal areas until you get to Bosnia, Mostar and Sarajevo to the devastated (beautiful city, now I go there for years and are increasingly fascinated), all these years as well as visible horrors of debris (perhaps now only Mostar is still far behind as a reconstruction), I had the opportunity to see things the war on people. The wounds, though serious and / or devastating but you can overcome the shock, the fear of being caught, to be affected by shells no longer finding their loved ones, each time having to count the dead, the friends are gone ...... This is the most tragic of the war and the "wound" that does not heal! It 'a wound that often become infected and gives rise to hatred, resentment, revenge ...... Why make war? Who has the right to judge a "humanitarian war" for a good purpose? Smart weapons? And how do they decide who is good and who is evil? War is war !!!!! Even against this terrorism is just one of many excuses to make "interest" for those who sell weapons to those who traffic for those who want to do different interests ..... Aperto a tutti....

è rimasto tutto come prima: tutto continua a girare intorno ai soldi e all'America. è comprensibile che la guerra sia stata la reazione americana: sono stati colpiti nel profondo e in un modo tremendo... ma forse dovevano to wage war on terrorists, the real ones, not throw bombs at random x Afghanistan. bin Laden is still doing well and will look good even Hussein, even if they hit Iraq. it was right to topple the Taliban regime, even those who have fallen mac'è blameless ...
Diana

Violence is never right, come from anywhere. Sometimes it is obligatory to use it for defensive purposes, but be careful not to get drawn into traps disabled. When Bush arranges for its reprisals against the enemies of the world, let us remember his private interests in the war industry. Non-violence would cost dear to the warlords. If the money spent on armaments build schools, hospitals e strutture assistenziali, non sarebbero loro a guadagnarci, ma l'intera collettività.

Another plane was shot down ... There were no thoughts of what I saw. But it did not end there, because with my colleagues we saw the towers collapse live! Could there be only one word to describe this: HORROR! Could not be true ..... NO! The United States hit home ... God, then we were all in danger! Yes, I have to say that September 11 has shocked me personally. For example, when I take a plane (at least four times a week), for a moment I'm thinking that might be the last thing I do, but then the thought fades and gives way to reality. A little 'have also changed the attitude with others, are more attentive to certain details and I will reflect more about certain things, did not notice that before. This happens to me, especially in crowded places ... who knows .... I think the world has changed a lot, because no longer feels safe anywhere. I just returned from Paris and also there are now strict controls. Backpacks, bags, and everything else is searched in an accurate and almost maniacal. No one can say I'm home and I'm calm. You know what scares me? Emulation! Bin Laden played on this and the fools who want to become martyrs ... and this is a terrible thing!

While it is appropriate to continue the war? Because the war continues? Because you know something about what happens there? Why it became known that our ships have returned secretly to Brindisi for the Americans did not want us? I, frankly, for several months and I do not know anything? And you? The war was not right, absolutely not! E 'served only to U.S.: 1-empty arsenals 50 years old, which as everyone knows are at Johnson Island Pacific 2-3-Experimenting with new ammunition Prove that is always the strongest, even when they lose .. 4-Killing thousands of desperate Afghans, while Osama, Mullah Omar and the whole company (if they exist .. because of Bush and the U.S. I would not trust) who knows where he's 5-to divert attention from the mess they have in Home 6-Establish a pipeline running from Kazakhstan the Arabian Sea .... Now, after all the economic scandals (see Enron), it's up to Saddam, I say not to be a saint, but those who believe that 15 years have never managed to get it out? You know what I say? Osama and Saddam, the U.S. agrees that they are alive! I wonder why professionals like you, like Tiziana Ferrario, and as some others, do not say things like things really are? Do not give me an answer ..... remember I am a colleague and I know some things
Federico

I have never in agreement with those who respond with the war and in this case do not agree even in continuing, I suspect that like many things that concerned the U.S. is the same CIA behind chi ci guadagna a organizzare anche eventi come l'11 settembre.

Laura Traverso

The debate could last for hours or perhaps days without returning people unfortunately swallowed by this immense tragedy for their loved ones. The fact remains that after nearly a year after the declaration of war, the unmentionable is (unfortunately and fortunately for some) still on the loose who knows what in the world. With hindsight ... I do not think that this is ample time, if not to enrich a few inexorably manufacturer of sophisticated toys that sow death, speculator of human life.
Alberto Ragaini

September 11 approaches, and even the Iraq war. it seems that Bush wants to defend itself from possible attacks by attacking first. The world is preparing psychologically for a war that does not believe (the fault of the disappointing results obtained in Afghanistan, the ouster of the Taliban is certainly important) ... soldiers are prepared physically ... it would be best to arrive at peaceful resolutions of conflicts by finding appropriate solutions for all parties ... but they seem to be no middle ground. I feel very positive the fact that Miss decide to stop the condemnation of amine (and I hope that at least we fail them) ... strange that the Nigeria is hosting a contest like that!
Diana

From what I understand the September 11 marked the international economy, but why? For the lack of certainty? I think it is wrong to make war like you are doing to American interests sull'Aafganistan has already spoken at length. But it is also wrong to stop. Life goes on and it is unfair that a couple of airplanes stop the world.
Zancan

Fabio Franco: No, not to say that two planes were to stop the world. \\ Perhaps because of the economy were two planes and two towers. for me not: the people who were on those flights, trapped between the collapse of the skyscrapers, those who are shot from the windows to remain under the rubble ... they have stopped the world. for us here, nothing has changed, and it goes on as usual. For them no, that they had no desire to die That morning, Ilori families never took them would lose ... it is as if I asked the Jews to forget Auschwitz ... they will not.
D.

Hope has two children, anger and courage. The first is to tell the injustices of the world and the second change. " Perhaps the September 11, 2001 has not changed the overall picture of the Empire. Of course he explained. Enslave and rob 100 to enjoy two, who has a servant and his anatomy is not painless.
Demian

Certo per chi, in una certa area della cultura e dello spettacolo, vagamente di sinistra, ritiene erroneamente che il mondo, sia diviso fra paesi spendaccioni intenti a distruggere il patrimonio ambientale della terra e paesi poveri e affamati sfruttati e rapinati dai primi, per questi il mondo non è cambiato e non può cambiare fino a when there will be a radical, revolutionary change according to which richer countries are stripped of their superfluous wealth and donate or be forced to give her, by a "superior moral force" to the poorest countries.
Franco Rossi

unnecessary war? I think not. At least two senior al-Qaeda have been captured. One of Bin Laden's deputy was killed .. The Taliban and Muslim volunteers in the pay of Bin Laden died in combat and not the civilian casualties .. Henry and others: Bush, Rumsfeld, the CIA, the U.S. military are not the Bible, but what does it take to convince you that even the 'Unity and the Manifesto, and Vauro Gino Strada (where does the columnist) Jovanotti and Casarin, are sacred texts?
Gabriele from Reggio Calabria

Respect all opinions of course. I do not believe that God (for those who believe) and fell to the ground yet neither U.S. nor in Russia. But pick out the old debate on the Italian right and left, good and bad, to remain loyal to the division of the world into two camps, it's just an excuse not to see what lies on the edge, the edge of the world. Obviously, Il Manifesto, and The Unit are not the Bible. But we talk about Gino Strada as a mere columnist. What he says is not sacred, but at least it comes from a person threatened in the first person to help, just help, beyond of any political party. I ask you a question: have you ever been in a country that even remotely could be defined as at risk or at least below the threshold of development that we know? Have you ever been kind to Tunisia to simply spend a vacation? You would realize that even in villages, the atmosphere is not Western services, taxis, people strolling the market, are not like ours. And it is hard to adapt, there is also a little nervous' ahead of things different from ours. Less cleaning, less security, less democracy for women. And you chose to go to those places, just for fun. Here, imagine this multiplied a thousand. With people who you die before your eyes, and you're looking for save some lives in makeshift operating tables, medicine scarce in a city where there is good and bad, but everything is dangerous. I ask you another thing: why Gino Strada and all the other volunteers of the Emergency or other NGOs do? Why are left? To propagate any political ideology? To return to Italy and write what you defisci opinions? Why do you think?
Laura Bogliolo

do not agree at all with the assistance of Gabriel, and I respect that only and only until, out of turn, cites Gino Strada ..... What he said, should be limited to repairing the damage done from the good Americans, but strictly according silent ..... Ugly, ugly habit to plug the mouths of groped, reducing everything to silence. Gino Strada has too little space, and his voice is amplified as it should .... I understand that as long as the ugliness of the uncivilized world in which we live are buried in the silence, we are also allowed to pretend to be a civilization higher, but is not so ... There are children maimed and sewn by Gino Strada has every right and even duty to get angry and yell all his indignation.
Rita Pani

Perhaps, as someone said, no one remembers all the other deaths in the world. But think of how much cruelty there was the famous September 11 could some thought that the reasons for this ongoing tragedy. What then is the one that is also consumed in the Middle East from where both parties continue to kill, and I do so with more cruelty. Who knows what will happen, we in our small we can also give a hand, but this hand is not that of anti-globalization, which creates peace instead of calling the war. Maybe I talk like this because my personal relationship with the anti-globalization was not the happiest, but you do not create peace through violence ... and this applies not only to those who are in turn defined as "fascist, pro-American , Nazis ".... and so on. I remain always puzzled!
Ford

How could they think of Americans spending more smooth? When I saw the towers collapse, I thought this was the predominant. How could they think the Americans never to be punished by anyone in this land for their arrogance, bullying and violence of every kind with which they have imposed their culture to the world since the postwar period? The fierce bombing of Vietnam, encouraged and supported coups in Latin America (Chile, remember?) Sudden actions without consulting the UN considered perpetrated against non-aligned countries such as Libya or Grenada ... and how can we forget the thorny question of Palestine, where for years the unarmed population is massacred by the Jews with American money and weapons?
Sooner or later this was bound to have a vengeance ... and revenge has come: implacable and cruel, perhaps, but perfectly in line with the logic of the history of mankind ...
Poseidon

E 'over a year since that afternoon, during which it changed the way we look to the future, from that day when we realized that even the largest and most unassailable giant could be struck to the heart. We watched helplessly as Direct TV, which showed us the destruction of the very symbol of American power and with it the destruction of thousands of lives that would never have thought to die that way. Then the giant was raised, he tried to heal the wounds and chose to have it deal more, starting a crusade against a real world and a culture that seemed hostile ... I absolutely do not claim the right to determine whether this was right or wrong, I do not see the purpose, I would just like to pause for a moment to reflect on war, what are (if they happen to be) the reason c he makes the "right" a war, I wonder what the difference between the value of the lives extinguished in the towers and the deaths of innocent came under American bombs in Afghanistan ... I do not think there's much difference, war is always synonymous with death and destruction and no peace nor freedom if it is to be achieved and maintained with weapons and blood ... and is now again the time of Saddam ...
Asnakesh

here is not to say who is right or wrong, immediately after learning what had happened I felt sorry for the victims and anger against a whole system that did not work is called international report!

After a year no one raised again from the mind the first thing I thought of the September 11, 2001: It is not 'possible unless Bush was looking for justification and approval. Well everything that 'happened next, until now, no more than confirm, there is not a' matter of being right or left, but look at the facts: the U.S. and Bush in particular have benefited in every way to what is 'success, they fought, tortured, killed, deforestation, counter and purchased in the name of those sacrifices and, to date, the more' powerful country in the world does not able to provide a single acceptable test. For me, September 11 'being just a low blow to values such as peace, tolerance, freedom' and brotherhood ...

September 11th is a date that has poisoned the animi.Spero to be a bad prophet, but on this occasion, perhaps it's best to keep ears and eyes open more tips (if you need it!), Both for pro-American that for others!

He had fulfilled the "unthinkability" which belonged to the writers and the directors of fanrtascienza. The first impression of the majority of the media audience, was to attend to images already seen in apocalyptic scenarios of science fiction disasters. And the reality, this time as the unthinkability found, with the suicide bombers as an agent "trivial," he surpassed all perverse fantasy. It was laid bare the weakness of the greatest power in history in front of "unthinkable" the resources of terrorism as the use of suicide bombers to hit on two towers, a symbol, rather than on an aircraft carrier, such as (expected) Japanese World War II. It seemed the end of the "predictability" the end of all certainty, any absolute value. History, both before and after the 'September 11. Nothing will be as before. In the collective unconscious, like a before and after Christ. A tragic historic event which marked a first estimate of the fundamental values and after a crash, that will challenge them. What do you mean by power? How will the well-being? How to practice tolerance? Today we know that it was only a psychological effect. Of too short duration.

year celebrating in real tears and attitudes of fact the first anniversary of September 11, 2001. One fateful day, after which many argue that the world has changed. Maybe we just have changed, despite our great technologies, industries, media and other gadgets, we realized that the invisible enemy, often driven by despair that generates our wealth, that enemy called death (incorrectly) to assert their rights as human beings living among us and we do puara, terrifies us. I believe that together we remember September 11 and put to work especially because all the dramas that have been consumed before that fateful day and continued to be consumed later and still wear out, need to be destroyed.

The consistency and anti-hypocrisy must make sense, like all things, otherwise reek of vulgar and pointless rhetoric .... I am quite certain that in each of these stories there is only memory .... I remember where I was and what I was doing, how I remember that from happening already at a few hours there was some idiot who was activated for groped to avoid further disasters, such as what later happened in Afghanistan .... Being anti * * and be * against *, supported by a thought, clean, honest and consistent .... All become fashion * O *.

AND YOU, THAT DAY, WHERE?
There are dates that do not forgotten. And that, forever, and 'can associate memories. On 11 September, for all, and 'a date to remember. I was trivially to work. But much less trivial and 'was what' s happened next: the race to the next plane to New York and then the cold dawn in front of the large crater. And where were you? Just a few lines if you want to stop the thoughts of a historic moment.

A cartoon left off. It seems like a metaphor, but on 11 September 2001 was just that, nella realtà. Quando mia moglie arrivò a darmi il cambio feci solo intempo a dire "Stanno facendo un merdaio "and ran to the office. The tragedy was consumed with the collapse of the Towers, and the vertigo gave way to find meaning, hard to stay lucid for the death of thousands of live. Dizziness and confusion that sometimes come back, barking when I hear pundits and politicians who blame one another rebound, like boxers hitting blindly, or continue to do their own interest, the grin of those to whom, in reality, the world does not care.

I was, as they are now, in preparation. I had just finished lunch and I was in the middle of the casino due to the preparation of a press conference that was supposed to take place the next day. I was preparing the final documents and text messages on my phone began to ANSA anxious about .... I gave the news to colleagues and we were all glued to the TV I do not know how many hours ... I remember that we saw and heard, almost all live. What struck me most, besides the meaning of the immense tragedy that afternoon, was all that I say all, televisions (including regional) supply all the same thing. One thing ever! I'll never forget! I can not

I was in office on the phone with a customer. My boss enters breathless opening wide the door: "teresa are bombarding the White House" . Fabio, are the Russians? "I know not." I do not know, I'm reading the Internet. not to scare customers, "he continued," you are following the updates, which are currently being confirmed. "

I was beside myself with fatigue: La58.ma Venice had been over for a few days and I, for commitments with various newspapers and websites, I was at the computer trying to convey the thoughts that path the emotions of the film. Suddenly, my husband behind me says, "You know, have brought down the Twin Towers in New York!" Oh really? - I said-and I continued to write, thinking that his imagination galloped a hundred per hour . I felt, by away, the noise of the TV, but I got up. Lunch usually watch the news. I was speechless, breathless, with tears flowing like rivers. How could I believe that he would tell me a joke thing?

I was in the car with my mother. As usual, she hates it when I turn up the volume on the radio, but that day I stayed to hear the .... I could not understand what was going on I heard the news on a national radio but I could not connect the word to attack America and the Twin Towers. I only remember that when I succeeded, I realized that the person next to me was screaming, and my crazy phone rang: it was my brother from Dublin, with a desperate voice and disbelief, I explained that there no longer worked the phones and tried to call me already for 30 minutes. I managed to park in a lay-by, I was on the freeway listening to the radio I think for at least three hours ......

the elevator. We return from lunch. The corridor on the third floor, that of stanza redazione invasa da tutta l'azienda assiepata davanti alla tv. Canale Cnn. ''Un aereo ha colpito le Twin Towers'' declama freddamente il responsabile editoriale. ''Come? Chi? Cosa? Non è possibile!!!'', ci chiediamo. Domande senza risposte. Continuiamo. Gli altri aerei. Il Pentagono. E poi il crollo. La prima torre. La seconda. Non ci crediamo. Qualcuno chiama casa. Ma non c'è tempo. Continuiamo fino a notte fonda. Siamo stanchi. Torniamo a casa. Non riusciamo a dormire. Quelle immagini continuano a massacrarci. Dormiamo per poco. Una costante nelle prime risposte. Lavoravamo piu' o meno tutti. Certo, perche’ quel martedi’ era un martedi’ assolutamente qualsiasi. Fino a un attimo prima di quell’attacco that changed the world .

September 11, walk on Viale Trastevere, Rome. Almost at the Piazza Ippolito Nievo in the company of my best friend, Italian American, a message on the phone asking me if I knew of an air attack against the United States. Still not believing it, take a look inside a bar and a TV connected to a newsletter spasmodically there any confirmation that it's all true. But when the voice of the commentator said that "yes, maybe the dead are five thousand. The world stock markets have fallen through the X points," a human disgust us gripping the stomach while the numbers continue to flow to the benefit of financial disaster. We, in silence, we continue to walk home, where telephoned American relatives of my best friends and exchange a few but sad thoughts on the world of information in Italy. It breathed an atmosphere similar to the streets when Aldo Moro was found dead.

I can not tear myself away from TV until the evening. Then there was the war, "the cloth of peace" Emergency, the bad attack of "sheet" Gino Strada, Al-Jazeera videotape of bin Laden, the U.S. day and the day a peaceful demonstration; all, I think, we remember everything. These are the days of remembrance, commemoration of the dead but there is already talk every day of a new war in Iraq. Looking through today, for the time ennessima Courier September 12, 2001, I noticed that the article spoke of Palestinians celebrating after the tragedy (p. 13), was signed by Maria Grazia Cutuli. It was the fall of 2001.

This year I hope to not have memories.

When I received the news of the first attack on the towers of New York, I was at work in my office and I must admit that at first I thought about how absurd a trivial plane crash caused by congestion of the airline United States or to the usual damage created by an increasing competition to see how many times the cost of sacrifices manitenzioni and control aircraft "old" for twenty years. When I heard the second, took me by surprise the fact that someone had dared to attack the United States at home. Maybe not believe this but I thought almost immediately that it was bin Laden to make the gesture also because 'a few days before, heard of the death of Massoud, Gettin' a strange premonition and I bring 'to mind the tragedy of "cola" and embassy in Yemen and Sudan. Potra 'seem ridiculous or strange for a simple clerk, but for me, and the geopolitical events that disrupt the world, such as those ending in the tenth page, I've always been curious and I have always followed with a strong attenzione.Quando, around 17 I saw on TV the scene of the collapse of the towers, I thought that if the United States had sold or lost their leadership in the space of a month that the West would fall into the vortex of chaos and distruzione.Forse are exaggerated but it 's what I thought at that moment when I saw all those people flee from the fury of dust and terror more' pure without a guide or a safe direction.

I have a strange memory of a year ago on September 11. I was working in Naples, I took a live webcast of the entire escalation of attacks, I like living a dream, or perhaps a nightmare ... I was walking down the street from the office leaving strange ... it was the same feeling you get when you leaves the cinema after seeing a movie you involved in 1000 to 100, I thought about what had happened and I thought, in the hot sun of Naples that afternoon, all too surreal ... people, cars, skyscrapers of business center of my city ... I still could not focus on the mass of events that was going on but I knew it was all happened in reality ... and this state of suspension between dream and reality lasted until ' arrival on the bus to go home ... but here was the extraordinary fact: I began to talk about what had happened to a girl, Rose, soon to become my wife. It seems a story of romance, but it's so true ... how true are the strongly contrasting feeling of having experienced a tremendous day for all humanity but have also lived a wonderful day for me, since I met through those attacks the woman of my life. A memory contrasting wonderful and horrible, but terribly real and strong. The life of humanity underwent a change, the life of a single human being underwent a change.
Pierluigi

honestly do not remember what I did that day. The term that I read are all moving, but do not know how sincere and heartfelt. I remember only the imminence of the fact that the feelings that we read today is not felt, they were all discussing whether it was the fault of the West or the Muslims. (See Oriana Fallaci and Dacia Maraini) Due to the diktat on the topic that does not even feel like a forum, but a contest for the best essay on the subject. Eventually everyone will have the vote.

A year ago I remember in my company a very important meeting was scheduled for September 11: what they said, the topics on the agenda were of vital importance to establish the future strategies of the group. They had come all the bigwigs, including those of more distant branches. The offices were pulled, polished and there was nothing out of place. The meeting room was ready and was already animating when the riot happened. The news quickly spread. First, people are huddled around the computer connected to the Internet, but most news sites were inaccessible because bombarded by requests for connection. Then at some point it turned out someone with a television, recovered who knows where. The television was seized by the bigwigs, that if they are brought into the meeting room and we were all closed in, from outside and we kept trying to connect to some sites, and mobile home to know or tell. The bigwigs are leaving the meeting room only after several hours, but I have the distinct feeling that business strategies have had to wait for better times. From occurring and dramatic for humanity, the attack on WTC I took several considerations that have enriched my personal point of view but my feeling is linked to employment in those moments turned into a certainty, namely that the work is compelling and essential only if a doverli portare a termine sei tu.

Dopo aver letto gli articoli nella mente mi scorrono le immagini del viaggio a New York l'anno precedente, la meraviglia tested to see Manhattan from the road that leads from the airport, the amazement at the foot of the Twin Towers tried looking up occhi.Poi I turned off the computer and I got in the car to listen to the radio with an awareness of being a witness of an event than those remember for a long time. Shortly after, putting house in order, I find a postcard of New York entitled "Twin Towers" sent by a friend of mine, around the re-read the message and a sense of awe I feel when I see the date, 11/09/2000 A year earlier, before the dreams of the new millennium vanish in the name of a "business as usual."

September 11 in my family is a joyful feast, is the birthday of my grandson that I am very fond, for this reason it is impossible to forget a date! The September 11, 2001 was, as usual, in my office facing a very delicate and important work, so I had the radio on and I was not connected to the Internet. Suddenly burst into my room one of my colleagues agitated announcing that a plane had just crashed on one of the Twin Towers in New York. I must confess that for the moment, maybe because I had taken the problem to solve, I did not give weight to the thing. Then with the passing of the hours came news more and more dramatic in the short and the magnitude of the tragedy took shape in all its brutality. Well! that is, not I think there are still many items that are not already been said! I, like billions of people around the world are still shocked by the attack as a terrorist but certainly not billions of people will never have the idea of the true extent of the damage nor gravity, nor how many people are really innocent and unsuspecting lost their lives in hell.

I was at work that afternoon and I called for the case to a colleague who was at home and told me he was watching the news on television because a plane had crashed into the WTC, however, still do not know if incident may attack ...

Prima la notizia alla radio, " un piccolo aereo si schianta al WTC" , poi un secondo aereo e poi il resto della giornata l'ho spent watching TV with my daughter of 6 years who did not understand, he thought it was a movie and was annoyed because on any TV channel were the cartoons ..... The first thing I did was to take the photos I had taken from above the towers and the landscape of New York knew that was no longer the case. The next day I got on a plane as I did hundreds of other times to go and do my job, everyone said, we are safer today than yesterday, but can we really be sure? Of course with Bush, who seeks nothing but a pretext to bomb someone, there is little to be happy, also because he bombards no excuse.

I was in the office, alone, I have phoned their grandchildren at home, 12 and 11 years, saying that World War III had broken out. connecting to the internet I knew what had happened ... I called my buddy to tell him to be careful when he returned home from work. I cried watching television all night.

story, as Ken Loach, another September 11. To me that was the last day for an abortion. I was pregnant, alone, I got out of bed only to vomit. See live down the second of the two towers was for me as a witness the materialization of my mood, I have not even tried that sense of impending apocalypse that others have described. C'è qualcuno che ha versato anche solo una lacrima, oltre che per le vittime of the towers, for which we all cried, not only for the victims of U.S. bombing, but of years of blind and imperialist foreign policy? I hope, nevertheless, that along with tributes to the heroes and victims, there may be space somewhere for those who propose constructive solutions, that are not repeated massacres of innocent civilians. Not only in America.

was on her honeymoon, just arrived in Scotland on a flight from Belfast Easy Jet. How strange to check do not check the documents before: I booked via the Internet, the names referring to the flight attendants are on the list, so all ok.

Suddenly the house is shaking in front of the television, then the second plane live, I had the train leaving. At first there was no knowledge of what was happening, the event generated amazement at the television shok caused by the images. Well, travel by overnight train to Milan. Central Station have been there many times. But this morning there was an air really suspended. All the people lined up in silence, not to the ticket, but the newspaper. Well, the journey continues. Through Switzerland with its untouched landscapes, reading the newspaper. Even that strange atmosphere in the train stopped. Arrival in Germany in the evening. On the streets there was air of mourning. Even a market umbro Provencal was interrupted. People already prepared the feast, mood changed completely marching in procession with lighted candles. Continue my journey. Plane from Stuttgart to London. September 15. Scissors and sharp objects in main luggage. Also suspended in air atmosphere. The plane lands soft, but in England they had no more work. Looking for work for so long, but every time I opened a door, a sad face rose without speaking and I mentioned a refusal by moving the head horizontally. As you see dear friends from the forum, the memory of those days will be hard to forget.
Vito

September 11, 2001, I was around the city with my friend, I remember that it was hot and that cell-to-my friend got a phone call from her husband to tell us what was happening. For a moment, then panic and rush home to turn on the TV. The memory seems very close, as had happened a month ago, all the TV tonight is full of "special" that will show the incident scenes, perhaps not so touching for us, but for those who lived through those moments will be a terrible closer recurrence of pain. But one need not (I think for anyone) once again show the planes crashing into the Twin Towers because they are images that we will never forget.

THE LIGHTS OF MANHATTAN
New York, September 2001 - It 's a beautiful sunny day, it seems certain to be in October, I arrived for five days and now I'm sitting on a bench in the small park in Union Square. New York is still a month away from what is now called the Black Tuesday, a city in fear, mortified, appalled. In flower beds and paths, there are still traces of the prayer vigils that thousands of people have done spontaneously in memory of the victims of September 11. Not far from me is a black man, sitting curled up on himself, a hat on his head, like a notebook in his hands. I lift the car Photo and step: you notice me, comes close, with a hint of a smile that says I do not want to be photographed, just asking for a cigarette and then sits down. It's called Jonathan Livingstone and does not know that bears the same name as the famous seagull had much success in bookstores around the world: it is one of the many homeless that Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, Rudy The Rock, as it is called now, has attempted in vain to remove from the streets of the Big Apple. There are so many other, less intrusive than a decade ago but always present to witness a life miserable, made of love and violence. Next to us was a squirrel running around as if in a quiet forest, completely oblivious to the deafening noise of traffic: New York even this is not only the city of yellow cabs that run up and down, the sirens, which pave the way for ambulances or fire fighters, bystanders who are quick to point to the frantic pace of subway entrances and the smell of persistent food, gasoline and asphalt that surrounds it. Johnathan says little and unwillingly: a month ago was in the park to ask for some 'charity, and just remember the sudden silence that has surrounded the square for a moment, just long enough to realize that a terrible tragedy it was done, then the scream of sirens, the cries of the people, the hugs in a futile attempt to comfort, the excited voice of journalists from the radio of the same guys that blacks now they're listening to rap music. He bursts into tears, crying is a much disruptive as silent sobs choked in the throat as tears streamed down his cheeks to dig. In whisper tells me that there were many homeless people there on the Twin Towers that morning, many were confident in the generosity of any broker or any employee not too hasty. The Financial District was a must for anyone trying to scrape together a few pennies in the river of dollars that was passing by. Johnathan stop crying, pull up the nose and dries her face with his sleeve: "There will be no funeral for them - he says - no ceremony, no tears, no prayers, no place anonymous to the cemetery ... "It 's been a month and her pain is still there: those rights were not homeless without guardians, are not appeared on the pages of daily newspapers or television reports. There is no mercy for them beyond one of the volunteers who leave the Catholic parishes with pickup trucks loaded with used clothes and hot food but they can not feed or clothe them decently all: living like ghosts in a society that has relegated them to the darkest corners of the darkest roads. Around us New York seems to be the same as always: Johnathan asks me a cigarette and walks away with a gesture that is intended to be perhaps a thank you or perhaps an invitation to reflect on those poor dead senza nome e senza volto, ignorati da tutti.

FLORILEGI

Leggo il blogspot e avvizzisco. Naaaah.

I appreciate it because it speaks clearly and does not try to water down his ideas with fake humanitarianism).
ATOMIC: "Dying happens once, it's not a soldier has time to get used to it." True, that sin has a duty to put him in mind something that for me and you is not required.
REBECCA (sorry I have to go heavy here): "I felt sorry for the victims and anger against a whole system that did not work is called international report!". What do you mean? If I, an Italian citizen (unfortunately, I'd rather be stateless) I go to bed with a French national and an international report? Or will the "system of international relations? In any case, yours is any one of three cooked. That comfortable philosophy which enables us to say: everything sucks but it's not my fault. Too easy dear child (I hope you are girl, because if you are over 25 would be cited criminally).
ASNAKESH: "It 's been a year this afternoon during which it changed the way we look to the future, from that day when we realized that even the largest and most unassailable giant could be struck to the heart." I am an atheist but every now and then I looked through the Bible and I vaguely remember the story of David and Goliath. So I do not think that the September 11 show something new ... I prefer to cite Sergio Leone in "A Fistful of Dynamite", "I like those big fat: make more noise when they fall to the ground. "Ah, my way of thinking has not changed at all ... FORD:" But think of how much cruelty there was the famous 11 '. Very little cruelty , I just cracked a three thousand people, a pittance compared to what happens every day without the live CNN. Indeed, the 11 was a minor case.
TERESA: "I was in office on the phone with a customer. enter my head out of breath throwing open the door? teresa are bombing the white house? .? Fabio, are the Russians? I ask. "Pino, with you as a mediator, I invite the lady to drink a coffee (or ina) in question? No, because" the Russians "as a request is science fiction! In 2001, he had this doubt? It 'been 10 years locked in a submarine and do not know what has happened recently? It 's true that the office that the disease kills more. Hilarious figure of its head, classic Travet Italiot: that the business does not stop ... maybe 'is the only people to have understood something ... LAURA
Bogliolo: "Those images continue to slaughter them. Slept little. Sick, scared, the next day we are ready to begin again." Why? Why are images. Why have shown. The same scenes, repeated hundreds of times in Baghdad, I Lai, etc. in Tripoli. etc.. not you've seen, you do not have anxiety (perhaps you heard) and the day after you
work, shopping list, three for two, episode of Big Brother, who fucks the tissue so and so ... etc.. Alberto Stracuzzi

dear Stracuzzi At the September 11 has not gone ahead to call a loved .....???? Or his world is contained only in himself and in his criticism of people who just want to tell you how I'm feeling that day?? Well I live and I have loved ones who in a moment of tragedy, do not bother to further clog the phones, and this shows me that is important ..... I do part of their world and who love me. Dear Stracuzzi you never have clogged the phone to see if you were good?? fuck Stracuzzi you can put in my blog???
Stefania

Maybe give him trouble 'cause I sign my Ford ... I'm not saying Stracuzzi not right, there are many more deaths around the world, even the fault of the Americans, but for me the show is cruel. You can not make the rankings of the dead. The dead are dead. And I remain horrified by what 's happened a year ago. Stracuzzi seems a bit 'too cool ...
Ford

... Given the level for you, for you Alberto, the ten commandments.
FIRST: you do not have respect for others.
SECOND: deduce things based on what? In the crystal ball that gives you the TRUTH '?
THIRD: Pino asked us impressions on September 11 and those I have communicated. If you had asked me impressions of the war in Baghdad I would communicate to them.
FOURTH:''do not you saw, you do not have anxiety (perhaps you heard).'' I want to know if we know each other. Before writing the plug attached to the brain as well as the modem.
FIFTH: you can not just criticize. Your impressions of Sept. 11 what are they? I'm curious. Ahhh, I understand, you're one of those who think that America deserved it. The dead in Baghdad, for you are worth more than the Twin Towers, because many had a U.S. passport, or rather because they worked in finance,''the center of political domination and exploitation of the poor ..''blah, blah, blah .... You are granted, commonplace, superficial and uncompromising. And your arguments are similar to those that lead to justify the Nazi extermination, that because of the Nigerian women guilty of adultery, and that among fans. Yours is the only truth and who does not think like you should be insulted and offended. The only truth, like that of a dictatorship. Attacked still the world's division between East and West, good and bad. I remind you: in between is the man, who is American, Iraqi, Kurdish, or bourgeois small, small.
SIXTH: Where were you Sept. 11? What did you do volunteer senior citizens center near you, what you watch every morning and go dressed in a suit and tie to work with your mobile phone, a nice car and a shopping list (but why 'you do not eat? And you're so rich as to believe that the three for two is for idiots)?.
SEVENTH: people like you do nothing but foment hatred and to pretend that it means to be left to destroy, destroy and destroy.
EIGHTH: And the peace? How do you build? Staying on the pedestal to spit on others?
NINTH: or maybe you're just a simple technical-administrative staff of a university in the north that does nothing all day, bored and really wants to insult others?
TEN: I would write a''bourgeois''tiny little .... Apart from the limited writing ability: I am a woman, and you could not borrow the phrase so popular as a given. Above: explain to me, which means''bourgeois small, small''? It makes me think of a father or a mother who does not have such high hopes, thinking the baby, baby's life every day to earn to support their children, cucinare, subire gli insulti del capo a lavoro per non perdere il posto, leggere i giornali distrattamente perché altrimenti perdono l’autobus per andare a riprendere i figli a scuola, passare i week-end d’agosto a Ostia, andare a trovare la nonna la domenica. Beh allora preferisco essere borghese piccolo, piccolo che CREDERE DI ESSERE DIO SCESO IN TERRA.

Leggo il blogspot e avvizzisco . Naaaah. In titulo veritas. Sei semplicemente a bit 'rodent, and the poet (I guess you will not like because you have not mentioned Wilcox tu) says: "Sown the seeds of resentment, we're leaving, satisfied and forgiving; We are the rodents love, I perverter of feelings. "You wanted to create some 'resentments that does not answer or answers might be answered, maybe you wanted to write pour écrire. Then you have not written anything so awful. You're limited to criticize others - including my obvious to any woman - not having the desire or the ability to give us your opinion about September 11th. Without any form of resentment, I ask you formally to do so. In fact, we respond, with a degree of courtesy, to the question "Where were you and the September 11" Pino Scaccia in our mail boxes. It will be interesting to read your opinion on a non-trivial topic that interests us. Thanks.
VALERIA NOLI:> (which is affected by disgust at the continuing collapse of the recommendation of the awards) sang the poet (Brecht) "When a man dies get up markets" ... In fact, the first barrage of bombs on Kabul was celebrated with the Dow Jones to star ... Madame et monsieurs ... et voila the capitalisme ...
I think the first bomb on Kabul was completely unaware of Bertolt Brecht. Even Samuel Beckett, look ... It was just a bomb ignorant. Cherish and cultivate my distaste for the reporting of stock market crashes, I've got a feeling of discomfort and will continue to hear in front of all the things that annoy me. Sic et simpliciter. Even if you think it trivial, but it is not at all. I, in my nonsense, when I think of Dwain and Anne possibly close to the Twin Towers, I felt a strong stomach. When I thought about who that morning went to work for a toothache read him the chance at eight in the morning, I took part of his relief. Provincial and miserable fear? Tell me about a single noble fear. Fear is a feeling poor, can not but be miserable. Moreover, the bomb on his head is a rational and justifiable fear that I am not ashamed at all, already in this corner of our planet I like enough to not want to leave too fast. Trivial? Taken for granted? Not Brecht? The world does not end in the notes of Pirate Jenny, even in Sydney or Reggio Calabria.

TESTAMENT OF A TERRORIST
The operational phase of the operation and 'game in early May, four months before deglib attacks. The FBI has found traces of the last voyage of the group of suicide bombers. Eleven parties are from Britain, three from Germany, the other five were probably already 'in the United States. Reconstruct the nationality 'of the hijackers: Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt and UAE Arab. But there 'and no doubt that' Europe was the home base of Islamic extremists. Arrests for investigation has been made in Spain, Belgium, Frankfurt and London. But active and dangerous cells were also found in France, Italy and Holland. The watch list, the list of suspects and 'long (there are 223 names): Among the main research there is' definitely Bahassi Said, considered a leading figure in the organization. Decisive for investigators and 'while the identification of Lotfi Raissi, 27, an Algerian pilot designated as the flight instructor of the four hijackers responsible for guiding the planes into the targets. Gia ' arrested shortly after the attacks, Raissi was released. Two days ago, 'was arrested again, albeit a trivial pretext: the falsification of documents. That of identity 'of suicide bombers remains a central problem. The FBI has released photos and notes on nineteen terrorists but in reality 'and is' safe only four: Jarrah, Alminhdhal, Alghamdi and Mohammed Atta. The others may have taken the identity 'of Saudi diplomats. The terrorist act over 'devastating story, if you have had an operational phase of a few months, certainly came long before. Have now been established many trips between Pakistan, Europe and the United States of many of the hijackers. How 'was discovered in Atlanta, a flight school where one of the suicide bomber had lessons already 'two years ago. After all the movements of the alleged leader of the group, Mohammed Atta, dates the start of the operation to at least one year before the attack, when the Egyptian terrorist has entered the United States. Described by friends from childhood, on the outskirts of Cairo, as a meek and quiet guy, maybe just a little 'introverted, in American territory and' separate but as a violent, even assaulting a sheriff and then making the run to the process. Thirty-three 'years, met with at least five names and three other nationalities' (Kuwait, Saudi Arabia) has lived for eight years, from 92 in Germany where he 'degree in urban architecture in this university', in Hamburg, where he has also given rise to a cell of Islamic extremists (another important and 'have been identified in Boston, all'Harvad, where he 'Graduates also Dawi Bin Laden, Osama's brother). Before moving to the United States, Mohammed Atta has certainly made many trips within Europe. There would be evidence of meetings in Barcelona and Prague with Iraqi and Saudi extremists .. The January 10 returns in the United States, coming to Miami, despite an expired visa. Before learning how to drive a small plane spreading pesticides and fertilizers then goes into a bank to inquire about how to buy one. In April, the stop in Broward, still in Florida for driving without a license that is able to obtain only a week later. In June, goes to Las Vegas to take flying lessons. Back in July for two weeks in Spain where he asked to meet in an Algerian jail for murder but the request and the 'rejected. On 12 August, and we are one month before the attacks, Atta returned to the U.S., where he remained until his death. And the reconstruction of his movements corresponds to the planning of the massacre. Activity 'synchronized through 45 in English and Arabic, and mail sent from public libraries and some meetings in motel. The final phase of shooting on Aug. 13, when Atta rents a car in Pompano Beach, in Florida. The 15 leases a second car. From August 25 to 28 ten hijackers purchase flight tickets at American Airlines and United Airlines. Purchase two tickets per day with a credit card and once in cash. On September 7, Atta and 'visa run out of the airport car Logan. The commandos and 'now moved to Boston. On 10 September they sleep in groups of two different motels in the Massacchussettes. Mohammed Atta is sleeping in Portland, Maine. Remember him in a bar with another bar to get drunk and boast of an action that will change 'the story. Atta dawn to fly to Boston and it 'again (see) a camera, along with an accomplice, or perhaps what you do Alimoni exchange for him. And 'the last step before getting on Flight # 11 who will lead' against the towers of New York. In the rubble of the towers are Atta's luggage. There 's also a letter: "Everyone is afraid of death, but only those who know that there is life after death, will seek death." Testament of a terrorist.

IS 'THE WORLD' CHANGED
One hundred and one minute and say that "everything" lasted just a lump of time; modest 101 minutes, exactly. "It's not like before," the CNN reporter said, weeping, and those words were born from the horrible cloud that will permanently remove the Twin Towers, we have pursued during a long year, we will take the following, I have taken lodgings in our deep like a baleful brand. Ineradicable. On 10 September last year I returned to Rome, after the usual stay in Cairo "to wash the clothes" in the Nile: namely, to update data, information and so on. Beirut was once the source, which drink, analysis, forecasts (conservative) sull'erratico bitter fate of the Near East (which we call the Middle East), after the long, devastating Lebanese civil war, Beirut, Cairo has dethroned. So I came back full of good material, as well as gossip, and once home to rest luggage, I decided to reach his family, as they say, in Sabaudia. And on September 11, I was under the beach umbrella, beach clean, with my dear newspapers to browse, when the phone rang. It was the voice of the director but it seemed entrenched: "Turn on the television," said Sergio Luciano, "something terrible is happening, it's like watching a nightmare." I ran to the bar on the Lido, I prayed that turn on the TV and saw. I saw what I never wanted to see, even in a dream. It was the nightmare television, twice real and terrible, so. Called directly from TG1 said it was "the Pearl Harbor of the three thousand." The same night I developed the concept Door to door in the special edition prepared by Bruno Vespa. And 'one year, I remember painfully desperate speech of a former actress who lives in Italy a lot, I remember the anguish of Fabrizio Del Noce could not call some of his closest friends. I also tried, in vain, for hours and hours to reach my niece Sasha on the phone. I knew that, left Vera Cruz for a few weeks, was with his family in New York, just in nineteenth-century home of his father, the late dean of ANSA, Mirco Manzella (my brother), in Hastings-on-Hudson where the Great River is a sweet green curve. Only a week after the storm, my nephew turned up: he called him. He had sent the family to the Virgin Islands to run in Manhattan, a volunteer among volunteers, as a good American citizen, "Why?" because he asked. The whole phone call was struck by that question to which, a year later, it is not easy to answer. (I wrote a piece for this newspaper focused precisely on the "Why"). The first anniversary of the massacre of Manhattan I would again be in Sabaudia: I'm reading an important book. What advice to those who respect the memory of the tragedy that affects us all. The author is Béatrice Fraenkel, a professor of semiotics at the University Paris III, is entitled Les Ecrits de septembre and talks about and tries to "interpret" the graffiti dedicated to the tragedy that shook the world, reversing it ("nothing will be as before"). Apparently posts on the walls are "trivial", "God bless America" and so on, but the important fact, historically, socially, is that the vast majority of the messages are signed. Yes, with name and surname. This has a deep and noble significance of testimony. Sign for an American to say: I'm here to give testimony. What's more, the corner of Avenue A, with 14 streets, an artist hispano, Chico, has painted a wall with the profile of the two towers and lost in the upper right corner the inscription: "In memory of famiglie e degli amici, RIP” (riposate in pace, n.d.r.).Pietose mani anonime depongono senza tregua fiori ai piedi dell’affresco, più volte ricorre lo slogan che John Lennon disseminò nel mondo al tempo delle guerra del Vietnam: The war is over. Ma veramente la guerra è finita? O deve cominciare? Di fatto, la guerra c’è già: che cosa sono i ripetuti, duri bombardamenti angloamericani su obiettivi strategici in Iraq, se non atti di guerra? E il “misterioso" suicidio di Abu Nidal, terrorista diremo classico, risvegliato dal “sonno” dal regime di Saddam, ovvero dai nemici del regime stesso (non è che poi faccia molta differenza), non è un tipico atto di guerra nel segno dell’intelligence? And the attacks in Afghanistan, hunting obstinacy of the Services and special units to the Shaikh of Terror ("I Do, alive or dead. I want it," ipse dixit Bush). Are not war? There are different stages of a conflict, alas, as we Europeans know from direct experience: there is a whole series of "approaches" before the final push. And in a certain sense even the suicide bombings're part of the "approaches" the war is already there and is sterile, if not hypocritical to rend their garments on the bitter fate that surely awaits the legions of innocent people. The so-called modern wars have made civilians the primary aim of the duelists. A politician who expresses the psychology of the automatism of the Great Frontier: offense called revenge. A politician, not an expression of the religious right but in harmony with it. WASP from facing a painful hit to the symbol of "culture" - the towers - and fascinated by the ideology of "preventive war" proclaimed by General Sharon, Bush set out in that "man of peace." It must be said that if preventive wars were, were, unavoidable to save Israel from annihilation (and in fact when Golda Meir was forced by his faithful American friends to give up the attack took place prior to the defeat of the war half Yom Kippur), the United States regarding the possibility of annihilation does not arise. Remains the harshness of the "message" of Bush to the Europeans, "who is not with us is against us." The Europeans Codest ukase the creeps: reminds us of a dreadful season in our history, redeemed by the new future emerged from the sacrifice, giustappunto, GI came to free us of the good. The fact is that we Europeans are left as we were, while the Americans have changed. What, then, the bloody trauma of the rape of the Towers Explain This "change" is another matter. The Americans have changed and we find it hard to understand with them here is the true harbinger of a tragedy futuro spaventosamente incerto.

The only contradiction that was in my writing has not found anyone I said that the event has touched me a little, but I talk about it and strap? I've never been touched by any interest in the world of cows, but under emergency BSE I could not help but speak with 100% of the world I know and who did not eat beef. Apart from myself, because in those lucky times of emergency the meat was checked once in a while, perhaps seriously. I made light of steak while others swallow kilos of unchecked hormones and free form of chicken breast. The game of who will, in fact, that some died and others like boulders weigh like a feather. Here you're wrong. Speak to me of September 11 did not involve the idea that the dead Americans were more or less good than others. Why smadonnavo simultaneously against Bush and his internal communication strategies, developed by the advertising that if I am going under the name of Qualcosey Beers and that he "redesigned" the image of the White House. Among other things, the lady draws too bad. Meanwhile I was doing well to send some ineffective at unrepentant atheist blasphemy by George Jr., and its strategic bombs. The dead are dead, the dead Afghans or Kurds are no less dead Americans (voluntary case, you s'il plait). Yes, you're right, maybe they are dead and more worse. Without perhaps. But it's not a good reason to kill three thousand people. Had fallen to Bush, again again ... I remember watching TV and thinking that was an idea so simple (use planes as bombs) and that was why it had worked. I remember I had a similar thought about the possibility of hijacking planes with a penknife, in spite of the space shield. But I continue to lament the dead, they will smell like the old geraniums in front of my house, even if they were Americans, and if I do not believe in utopias that a molecular mass of the human form, subject to glaring exceptions, should be able to stand up at least as long as he pleases, age and illness permitting. So I hope for me, so I hope all of you.

Bravo, continua a fare discriminazioni. Let's see if you get there, one that has no money to pay his studies, he won a scholarship, won the job which is his dream (because the passion and freedom) is killed by accident. I understand: he was not working to Emergency, where you work, right? Only ''Sept. 11 said he was all over with a visceral'' so scary, but you know me? but have you read all my posts? You have sailed on my site? Did you read what I write? Solita superficiality. Your not stones in the pond, are insults in the pile. Stracuzzi for President, if for no other good headline: what is the title so brilliantly drawn? I remember that even people like Hitler, Mussolini pulled out beautiful phrase. Demagoguery. Only demagoguery. not dressed in suit and tie? I know men who wear suits and ties that are much better than you. No need to dress up as an alternative to say, do and think about what is right! What surface. Stracuzzi, do not like you, and I do not like you can use the blog to insult. I know that everyone has freedom of speech, etc., etc., but insults are another matter. And who cares cares if it creates debate. Even Mussolini to the shit that says it creates debate and audience, including Ferrara, Faith. But who cares care. Then we begin to insult and offend. I do not mean swear words, but a lack of respect. Stracuzzi? Make a beautiful thing : made a great site where you can write all your shit. Internet is good for this. They fit all. The domain? www.VIPARLADIO.it , is free, hurry up .... You know who you remind me Stracuzzi? Daddy's boy, but wants to be a revolutionary. I know many. The thing in common? Hypocrisy and lack of respect for others ..... because you can .....

TODAY, September 11
Today I was determined not to turn on the TV at all: I did not even see the barrage of images of crumbling towers and rivers of useless words and now completely emptied of meaning. It was fair to say, but this is exhaustion! But I would not seem inhumane towards the victims and survivors. I did for a while zapping ': some programs were resigned to what was happening in America today, others were movingly reviews of tears (I would say the first option for RAI and Mediaset, the second) ... then at some point it was decided that life goes on and started the disturbing images of "Operation Triumph", "mouth" and the play of amadeus ... here those were the ugliest things I saw today! Yeah normally I hate them, but interspersed with skyscrapers, dead, air, tears and terrorists were even worse. Another scary thing: After several comments by the incident, victims, the wars will go to the terrible tragedy of the bag! Or course, I know, it's awful, the stock market crash! we all have lost money, all are paying the consequences, it is realistic to talk about as a result of the terrorist attacks, but ... is so bleak!

the fear of total war
I was on the couch for a nap. I woke up and I turned on the TV. Now and 'appeared the words "Special Edition". With surprise I saw the Twin Touers (on which I came up for a visit in 1993) with a plume of smoke. I immediately understood everything (in fact, I expected!). The dead are innocent victims of hatred that politics and the American economy in the world are attracted. I'm an Italian and I know the unspoken of Eritrea, grim, bloody American plots, covered by the usual disinformation or propaganda noninformazione operated from the offices of the psychological ON invincible small town in that era and I used to not believe a word of what 'we are told by the press. My thought in all these years and 'went first to the victims of the incredible criminal terrorist bombing "carpet" Anglo-American all over my town of Treviso, with no military targets, April 7, 1944: died in ten minutes or torn torn buried in the rubble about three thousand people (about 25% of those who remained in town '). Since then he only made the conservative, tired, short, on the anniversary of the annual commemorations. I confess to being envious of the racket with which instead the media for months, especially today September 11 is studded with the brains of the Italians. The Americans attacked Iraq will provoke furious reactions from Muslim countries and then they will deviate easily terrorist retaliation on Europe, threatening the U.S. economic competitor.

The people that we often hear that appeal, the one that often feels the pulse, the thermometer of our society. I've met a lot 'in these days, and as usual I had to skim, divide, discern, not the good from the bad, but thinking of those who are not. I will not even say which are the divisions in proportion, it is not my job. We are asking whether and how it changed the world, what facts they have transformed. But we do not ask us to come when we decide to change first. I saw a lady bright gold of creams and eat a great risotto while lamenting his lack of freedom of movement, because of * those * said ... * * For their fault he did not feel more free to move. One of his friends mumbled something, sitting beside him in a quiet restaurant, and often cleaned his fingers ... He had the recipe to regain his freedom, freedom of movement * They, all should be exterminated, "he said. Then the maximum, the committee discussed in a room that was empty, and that was echoing the voices ... * Poor Berlusconi's right! * ... * They are said to be exterminated, are lower ...* Another , the one that looked more and more intensely her lips red lipstick and nails to make a couple. ... He ended her "Meanwhile, today, nothing happened ... With all they had prepared to defend themselves .. . But I'd bet that Baptist today nothing would happen. "The people ... It was in Milan on the evening of September 11.
